Wurlitzer Alto (Martin Stencil)

This is a silver-plated alto from the 1920's or 30's.

It has the characteristic soldered-in bevel-top Martin toneholes.

There are a lot of places on the keytouches where the silver is worn away to bare brass, but the silver-plate on the body is still very nice.

This horn is almost the opposite of a Noblet Alto I have for sale.
It has bright silver (nickel-plated) keys and a virtually bare brass body...a lovely horn.

I did a 'play condition" on this horn to get it playing so that you can see what it sounds like.
I also cleaned up the silver-plate on the body.
