Nov. 4, 2008 - The owner has let me know that he is open to trade/partial trade of the horn on this webpage for a Selmer 9 (not 9*) or Centered Tone standard Bb or A soprano clarinet. Looking for a horn that is in good physical shape, but may need repadding, etc. He might also consider a nice LeBlanc as well.

This is an excellent Full Boehm wooden clarinet.
No cracks, splits or chips to the wood.
Silver-plated keywork.

As explained, this clarinet has the articulated C#/G# and is keyed to low Eb.
The low Eb key allows for the performance of A clarinet parts on a Bb clarinet. That's the reason it was extended, similar to the extension of the "regular" bass clarinet from low E to low Eb.

This clarinet comes with two barrels, both marked with "10S", the shorter one, which I measure to be approx. 62.0 mm is also marked "4mm.S".
From what I understand, this means it is 4 mm shorter than the standard, stock barrel.
The longer one I measure to be 66.6 mm.
This shorter one is the one that plays in tune.

I sort of reversed sequence of photos, putting the case first instead of at the end.
The case is a fine one, with room for a standard Bb clarinet.
It looks black at first glance, but on closer examination it has a slight greenish hue to it.
The case hardware is substantial and in good working condition.
It looks sturdy enough for a diplomatic courier to carry secret documents.

This clarinet is in very good, playable condition.
Pads in good shape, though with some discoloration.
