A comparison of
a Dörfler & Jörka "Renee Dumont" stencil
versus
Julius Keilwerth "Bundy Special"

This The Dörfler & Jörka (D&J) Renee Dumont alto is for sale.

Here is some information about Dörfler & Jörka

The Dörfler & Jörka (D&J) Renee Dumont alto compared side by side with the Julius Keilwerth (JK) made Bundy Special (relacquered).
The similarities are more striking than the differences.

The D&J has the large decorative "pearls" on the keyguards while the JK has adjustable felts. The D&J has the unique neck tightening screw. All the pivots on the D&J are pear shaped
whereas the JK's are more diamond or oblong shaped..

You may notice also that the body tube (and taper, b/c the neck tenon is smaller on the D&J) is bigger on the D&J (check out the low B&Bb keys, they are bigger than on the JK).

Both have IMO amazing intonation (for saxes made by hand in the 1960s in a country still recovering from WWII... how did they do that?).

D&J vs. JK
