Mouthpiece Tip Gauge

I have one extra Mouthpiece Tip Gauge for measuring and verifying the size of mouthpiece tip openings.

Since there is no standard nomenclature for specifying the tip opening size and since there can be variance in mouthpieces fresh out of the factory, let alone vintage mouthpieces that may or may not have been altered...sometimes nothing will do but to measure the tip opening.

And frankly, even with a good gauge, it can take a while to get the hang of it and get a consistant reading.

So, if you have several mouthpieces and want to verify their tip opening sizes, or you are thinking of selling or buying mouthpieces and want to measure the tip openings, it would be a good idea to invest in a gauge or some sort of measuring device.
